North Central Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) is generously offering a limited number of scholarships for the 2016 WFAN annual conference, Nov. 4 and 5 in Nebraska City, NE. The state SARE coordinators in Iowa and Nebraska are providing these scholarships as professional development travel funds, so they are available to attendees from those states only.
These professional development scholarships are available to agriculture educators and leaders, including Extension staff, community ag leaders, sustainable agriculture non-profit group board members, NRCS and FSA staff, high school ag instructors, etc.
Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, rolling basis to qualified applicants until they are filled. Funds are paid after the event, as a reimbursement, following submission of travel receipts and a brief evaluation form. Reimbursable costs may include registration, lodging, meals on the road, and mileage.
