Plate to Politics Workshops Begin April 7

The Women, Food and Agriculture Network is pleased to announce their upcoming Plate to Politics workshops in Decorah, Iowa, and Peninsula, Ohio.

These one-day workshops provide hands-on skills training to women in food justice and sustainable agriculture who want to play a critical role in transforming our nation’s food system. The workshops will be held from 9:00-3:00 in April. The cost to attend is $15. Individual workshop details and registration pages are available at the links below.

This is a great opportunity for women who are running or planning to run for office to develop their skills, to network with like-minded women, and to be inspired. Women who want to ramp up their advocacy leadership in healthy food and farming or with an interest to help other women run for office are also encouraged to attend.

“At WFAN we have an incredible network of women working in the fields and at the Capitol to create a fair food system for all people and the environment,” said Ash Bruxvoort, WFAN’s Plate to Politics coordinator. “There are many workshops about running for office, but the Plate to Politics program is the only one bringing together women leading the healthy food and farming movement. If we want to transform our food system we need these women at every table where decisions are made about food and farm policy."
